Are you looking to have your microbladed or permanent makeup eyebrows fixed, corrected or removed? Are your eyebrows saturated with pigment that needs lifting before we can give you amazing new brows? Has your eyebrow tattoo pigment gone a different color to when you first had them done, and now you don’t like them? Or do you just have tattoo regret and want to start afresh?
I can help you with any of these concerns. I’m an officially trained tattoo removal technician. I can even help with eyebrow emergencies. If a freshly microbladed or tattooed brow turns out completely wrong, I will come to the rescue!
We use a saline solution that closely resembles the skin's natural pH, this means it’s gentle on the skin. During treatment there’s no lingering burn or sting, just a short mild sting towards the end of the treatment, and this lets us know we’ve soaked the skin sufficiently for the best removal.
The solution quickly dries out the treated area, and any pigment healed into that skin; pigment is then lifted and removed during the skin's natural healing process. It causes minimal inflammation or irritation, so the healing process is pretty non- eventful. There’s a bonus too, the solutions dried out skin scab is shades of brown, a great color for eyebrows - You might even get complimented on your new brows!
Any kind of tattoo removal is a process and this is no different. Although we’ve seen some great results after just one session, most clients will see improvements after 2-3 sessions. It’s worth mentally and financially committing to a course of 3 treatments before starting, and during the consultation we can assess how easily the pigment is likely to remove from your skin. While we can’t give you an exact number of sessions to fully remove unwanted pigment, you’ll be able to understand the removal process and know what you’re in for.
If you’d like to find out how I can help you, please get in touch! I can also give you advice by text or Messenger send me a good clear photo, and please detail what you’re looking to get fixed, corrected or removed.
Permanent Makeup and Microblading Removal
Botched Ink can successfully lift, improve, and remove bad or unwanted healed tattoo pigments or a fresh microblading disaster. Cosmetic tattoo eyebrows can be old, touched up multiple times, faded funky colors, or in a multitude of brow shapes.
The removal process also works on scar tissue caused by a heavy hand or laser session, the procedure using our solution consistently gives satisfactory results. We train our technicians to understand not only how to do the treatment, but advise how many sessions you should budget for, which is usually starting with at least 3 sessions per removal.
Removing pigment from living tissue and keeping that living tissue in good condition for any future microblading or permanent makeup, is a skill and requires an advanced knowledge from your technician and a removal solution that gives the best results in the gentlest way.
Time is another huge factor, rushing removal treatments is not advisable. Be prepared to have your removal sessions 8 weeks apart.
Over the years there will be a build up of faded pigment, from touch ups and corrections.
This illustration shows how pigment molecules remain in the skin forever, it’s their color that changes. This is why, after years of touch ups it becomes harder to implant more pigment.
Pigment molecules also break down over time, some sooner than others, leaving a stain of color in the skin. Laser tattoo removal cannot remove skin stain as it is not pigment.
Emergency Microblading Removal quick facts!
-Emergency removal is best within the first 48 hours of the permanent makeup procedure
-Botched Ink Saline removal is safe for any permanent makeup disaster
-Not all saline tattoo removal products work the same
-Some saline tattoo removal liquid is very painful!
-Emergency saline removal can also be carried out after 48 hours with Botched Ink
-A second removal treatment should be carried out after 8 weeks
It’s worth noting that doing another removal session before 8 weeks is highly likely to cause scar tissue and an excess growth of blood capillaries (red skin), making further removal more difficult. Leaving a good amount of time between sessions really helps pigment remove better.
After a microblading disaster, a removal procedure will get rid of a good amount of the unwanted pigment, at it will have floated up and out of the skin. Any remaining pigment will be closer to the surface, making the next removal treatment much easier.
TATTOO REMOVAL HEALING INSTRUCTIONS:
SKIN PRONE TO HYPERPIGMENTATION: For those prone to hyperpigmentation, follow 'First 48 hours" advice. After 48 hours the scab and surrounding skin must not be allowed to dry out or hyperpigmentation can occur. Re-apply Cavilon cream every 2 or 3 days until skin returns to a normal color.
AFTER THE SCAB HEALS OFF: The pigment may look visibly lighter or different for the first 1-8 weeks. These are not considered results, it's your skin healing and the remaining pigment settling in. You may begin using makeup on the area if desired. Treat the area gently, no exfoliating or excessive sun exposure. The second treatment can be carried out after 8 weeks. Treatment cycle is 8 weeks,8 weeks, 12 weeks and repeat as required. We leave a longer time if the skin has not returned to a normal color.
THE REMOVAL PROCESS: Removing, improving or lightening pigment is a process which may take several sessions. Mature or saturated tattoos may initially respond slowly. After 3 treatments we'll have a better idea how easily the pigment is removing. Pigment may look darker before it gets lighter, especially if it was implanted deeply. Pigment that's closer to the surface removes easier. Brown pigment usually removes first, making other colors more visible. Grey brows may look browner, or warner colors may begin to show.
TATTOO REMOVAL IS A PROCESS WITH MANY VARIABLES, THEREFORE HOW MUCH PIGMENT IS REMOVED DURING EACH VISIT, OR HOW MANY VISITS ARE NEEDED, CANNOT BE KNOWN OR GUARANTEED.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY REDUCE THE EFFECT OF THE TREATMENT AND MAY RESULT IN UNDESIRED PROBLEMS SUCH AS HYPERPIGMENTATION, SCARRING OR INFECTION. iN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF AN INFECTION, YOUR TECHNICIAN CANNOT GIVE YOU MEDICAL ADVICE, SO IMMEDIATELY SEE ATTENTION FROM A GP DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST.
FIRST 48 HOURS: Any redness surrounding the treated area subsides within an hour or two. Redness within the treated area must be allowed to fully dry out over the next 48 hours. For most people te area is touch dry within the first few hours. Only touch the area with very clean hands, ideally no touching for 48 hours. If the skin is not allowed to dry out quickly you will not get the best results. Saline wound care wipes can be used to gently remove excess oil i.e. for scalp tattoos. Do not use any other aftercare products during this initial drying out phase. Do not get the area wet or sweaty for 48 hours. For lip liner treatments, during this phase keep movements small and to a minimum.
AFTER 48 HOURS: The treated area is now very dry, and a light scab will have formed. You may see pigment visible in the scab. ONE SINGLE APPLICATION of Cavilon barrier cream on and slightly around the scab. You may get the area a little wet when washing and showering, avoid rubbing the area. After any wetness, gently hold a clean tissue on the scab to dry it out. No excessive wedding the area, no swimming etc while the scab is on. Depending on the area treated, the scab will remain firmly attached for 5 to 14 days. Excessive movements are likely to crack the scab, which is not ideal for easy healing. Do not attempt to remove the scab before it naturally heals away from the treated area. For eyebrows, the scab might be held in eyebrow hair until gently removed. At no time can you pick off attached scabs, you will cause unwanted results.
NO SUN OR TANNING BED EXPOSURE FOR 5 DAYS AFTER PROCEDURE.
Saline Tattoo Removal is definitely a skill that should be in your arsenal if you are passionate about your art and this industry! Let's raise the bar for better products and better work on our clients. I have found this product to be the best by far for Permanent Makeup Removal!
