It is the micro-implantation of coloring pigments into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features. It is also a valuable procedure for camouflaging scars, burns, skin pigmentation variances caused by vitiligo, correcting some facial irregularities, or to further enhance facial rejuvenation and post-operative treatments.
It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. Only specialists in micro-pigmentation can perform this procedure on the face; tattoo artists cannot. Dragonfly Permanent Makeup Salon uses only the techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micro-pigmentation procedures, making it safe, sterile, and virtually painless. Permanent makeup clinicians also use effective topical anesthetics and will numb you for about 20 minutes before starting any procedure. Dragonfly Permanent Makeup and Hair Salon uses instruments much more delicate in design to provide natural-looking results.
Dragonfly Permanent Makeup and Hair Salon uses safe coloring pigments are safe, stay true to color, fading gradually to a lighter shade over time.
At Dragonfly Permanent Makeup and Hair Salon, the procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges and with digitally controlled implantation device or a hand tool depending on the situation. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness. There are no known allergic reactions to pigments.
Unlike in tattooing or some other type of permanent makeup salons Dragonfly Permanent Makeup and Hair Salon uses topical anesthetics that are highly effective to be applied to the treated area which significantly reduces discomfort. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed.
Please be aware when booking a lip procedure, if you have EVER had an outbreak of fever blisters at any point in your lifetime, you must consult with your doctor for a prescription of Valtrex or similar product prior to your procedure.
The average time required for a procedure is between one to two and a half hours.
Some swelling and redness can be expected for up to 24 hours following a procedure. Cold compress helps to reduce any swelling around the eye area. The treated area must be kept clean. No makeup should be applied for several days. Some skin flaking and lightening of the applied color before your follow-up appointment is completely normal. If any additional adjustments are desired, these will be made during your follow-up appointment. Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the procedure. However, tanning or swimming should be avoided for a few days. Normal healing times is between four to seven days.
We want our clients to be completely satisfied with their results. However once pigment is placed into the skin it is a process to be removed. Therefore our goal is to provide natural looking results the first time, every time. However, adjustments maybe needed from time to time and clients are welcome to return as many times as needed to have their permanent makeup adjusted paying only a nominal office fee of $75

Other practitioners combine their interest in permanent makeup with other beauty treatments, such as working with hair and nails. They often receive their “certification” for permanent makeup application by attending a one- or two-day seminar with little or no hands-on experience. They actually start their permanent makeup experience practicing on their first clients, and this can greatly jeopardize the client’s safety and satisfaction.
Our Permanent Makeup Artists are only trained and specialize in Permanent Makeup. There are 2 amazing hair stylists for all your hair needs and a licensed Esthetician in house for all your skin care needs.
Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation procedures. This varies among people and is dependent on the specific shade used, personal care routine and sun exposure. Most colors last one to five years, although some may not fade for as long as 10 years.
Periodic touchups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change colors of your permanent makeup. For instance, a nude lip color can be modified to a peachy pink or a brown eyeliner to a black or navy hue. Touch ups with us are always only $75.00
We recommend to wait at least 2 weeks to let the eyebrows heal completely before Botox is injected. A brow lift should not significantly alter the shape of a permanent eyebrow. Wait at least two weeks after an injection to have permanent makeup done.
The permanent eyeliner is applied directly in between the eyelashes and doesn’t move or change when the eyelid is surgically lifted. Therefore, it doesn’t make any difference whether you have your eyes lifted before or after the permanent eyeliner is applied. However, if you are planning on a thicker eyeliner, with a larger wing, I would recommend waiting until after you are fully healed from your Blepharoplasty.
Restylane or Juvéderm can be used to further enhance the fullness of your lips and to diminish the appearance of lines around the mouth. The lip liner will not “run” or feather into the vertical lines around the lips.
Depending on your health plan, some procedures are reimbursable (i.e., if a scar is the result of an accident or cancer treatment).
